I was born and raised in Victoria, BC, and graduated at the top of my class when I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology, after completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing at the University of Victoria.
In my post-graduate work, I went on to study Interpersonal Neurobiology, a developmental, somatic, and attachment-based approach to healing, and I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

From an early age, whether it was helping a friend learn to ride a bike, tutoring English to International students, or volunteering on the Crisis Lines, I directed my energy into the helping profession.
Now, with over 13 years of clinical practice, I have honed my craft and coordinated an approach that synthesizes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, Neurobiology, Trauma research, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Dialetical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and other therapeutic paradigms.
In addition to my practice, I am also a group facilitator and writer.
In 2012, my husband and I moved to Kelowna. We enjoy an active lifestyle both on the lake and in the mountains, and are thrilled to be raising our family here.
